Racists Anonymous (RA) is a support community dedicated to helping individuals recognize, confront, and overcome racism and prejudice through self-awareness, personal accountability, and the 12-Step process.
RA defines racism broadly as bias, prejudice, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, class, gender, nationality, physical appearance, abilities, sexual orientation, religion, or other human differences.
While racism may not be a clinical addiction, it often becomes a learned pattern of thinking and behavior reinforced by culture and experience. RA helps participants identify and transform these harmful patterns.
The 12-Step program encourages self-reflection, accountability, healing, and personal transformation. Participants learn to recognize biases, make amends, and build healthier relationships with others.
Meetings typically include introductions, readings, group discussion, personal sharing, and reflection. They provide a safe and confidential environment for growth and learning.
